Our library media center is an integral part of the school and the learning process. Our goal is to fully integrate the library media program into the educational framework, enabling students and staff to become partners in acquiring the essential skills needed to locate, analyze, evaluate, interpret, and communicate information ideas.

Accelerated Reader To foster a love for reading, AR time is a campus-wide activity that is also implemented in your UISD schedule. It is essential that teachers model reading daily. The success of AR time depends on its consistent implementation. Teachers must encourage reading both in and out of school and across the curriculum. Each teacher is required to have a reading corner or classroom library.

Library Nights have already been scheduled on our Master Campus Google Calendar. Parents or adults must accompany their children. Students are expected to read and test from the designated areas. Each grade level will take turns staying after school to assist during AR Library Nights on their assigned date. Check the monthly school calendar for dates, as they are subject to change.

The District is pleased to offer students access to a 1:1 Mobile Learning Devices, computer networks, the Internet, electronic mail and educational software on its network. To obtain access to all technology privileges, students must obtain parental permission via the District online registration system and sign all the required agreements: Technology Use Guide, 1:1 MLD Checkout Agreement and The Use of District Computers, Networks, Internet and Electronic Mail Parental Permission Form and User Agreement.
